Trace Heating

The Product

The application

The installation
• The quickest and easiest installation possible. Simply plug and go!
• Fix the cable to the pipe with the supplied glass cloth adhesive tape.
• For use with plastic pipes, cover with aluminium tape which can be purchased from our web site.

Permanent Installations
For permanent installations we recommend that the plug is removed and the cable is connected directly into a suitable thermostat. This should be carried out by an NICEIC approved electrician in accordance with local and national standards. For further advice please contact RD Traceheating or an NICEIC approved electrician.

Electrical Supply Requirements
A 230V ac 50Hz electrical supply is required for this cable. The cable must be protected by a 30mA RCD or RCBO. For further advice please contact RD Traceheating or an NICEIC approved electrician.

Thermal Insulation
Thermal insulation should be applied to cover both the cable and the pipe. Please refer to the installation instructions for a list of suitable thicknesses.  The cable will not prevent pipes freezing without thermal insulation.
